Saint Andrew Medal
Saint Andrew, brother of Saint Peter, is one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ and one of the first disciples to follow Christ. Originally from Galilee, he was a fisherman by profession before being called by Jesus to become a "fisher of men." The "X"-shaped cross, known as the Cross of Saint Andrew, is his iconographic symbol, as according to tradition, he was crucified on such a cross.
Patron saint of fishermen, Scots, and Greeks, Saint Andrew is a model of fidelity, courage, and humility. Wearing a medal bearing his image is a reminder of his call to follow Christ with faith and determination, while seeking to spread his word to others.
