- Specify the conditions and procedures for sales offered by La Médaille Française and the delivery of products ordered on the Site,
- Inform the Client of their rights and obligations in the context of online product sales.
Any order placed via the Becker Site by the Client implies unconditional acceptance of these Terms. To this end, the Client must confirm, before validating their order, that they have read and accepted the Terms without reservation.
La Médaille Française reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time for future transactions. The applicable Terms are those accepted by the Client at the time of placing the order.

Article 1 – Product Order Conditions
To place an order on the Site, the Client must have legal capacity and purchase the Products as a consumer, not for resale.
Products may be shipped to EU member states and French overseas territories (DROM-COM).

Product availability is generally indicated on the corresponding Site page. If ordered items are no longer available, La Médaille Française will inform the Client by any means (phone call or email) as soon as possible. The Client will be fully refunded. Alternatively, La Médaille Française may offer a similar product.

Otherwise, La Médaille Française reserves the right to: (i) cancel the order and payment outright, or (ii) require the Client to provide proof of the information and addresses submitted to verify their existence and accuracy.

Il the Client does not correct the mistake or non-compliant elements, La Medaille Française reserves the right to cancel the order and payment outright.
Article 2 – Ordering Products
The Client’s ordering process varies depending on the type of Product ordered.
2.1. Ordering a Non-Personalized Product
For a product without any customization (hereinafter a “Non-Personalized Product”), the ordering process is as follows:
First, the Client selects the Product they wish to order. The Product is then added to the shopping cart (hereinafter the “Cart”). The Client may modify the
quantity and, if applicable, the size of the Product in the Cart and may also remove the Product.
Once the Client has finished selecting the Products, they validate the Cart. The Client may create a customer account, log in to an existing one, or place the order as a guest.
Creating a customer account requires entering a valid email address. A unique identification code will be sent to the Client via email to access their account. These credentials are personal and must be kept confidential by the Client.
The Client then enters the recipient’s name (if different from the account holder), the delivery address, and the billing address (if different from the delivery address). They then choose the delivery method and payment method. The delivery time is indicated before placing the order.
Once all information is correctly entered and validated, the Product price and any applicable delivery fees are displayed. The Client then proceeds with payment using the selected method (credit card, PayPal, etc.).
Only confirmation of payment, or confirmation of credit approval by La Médaille Française’s partner as outlined in Article 5, definitively validates the order and contractually binds La Médaille Française to the Client. The Client is informed of the payment and order confirmation and receives an invoice.
2.2. Ordering a Product with Engraving
La Médaille Française offers Clients the option to personalize their jewelry with engraving. Once the choices are made via the Site’s dedicated interface, the Client selects the order option, and the Product is added to the Cart. The same steps as for a Non-Personalized Product apply.
After placing an order for a personalized product, La Médaille Française reserves the right to contact the Client to suggest modifications to the Product specifications, particularly for technical reasons. If the Client accepts these changes, the price and delivery time may be updated. If there is a price difference between the original and modified Product, La Médaille Française will refund the difference (if the replacement Product is cheaper) or request additional payment (if more expensive) before delivery.
La Médaille Française reserves the right to refuse any requested personalization, especially for technical or ethical reasons (e.g., discrimination, offensive language). In such cases, the Client will be informed. If the Client does not modify the personalization to acceptable terms, La Médaille Française reserves the right to cancel the order and payment. In all cases, the Client remains responsible for the texts, words, and symbols used in the personalization.
Products personalized with engraving cannot be exchanged or refunded.
Article 3 – Prices

Article 4 – Payment
The Client confirms having the necessary authorization to use the selected payment method.
Accepted payment methods include: credit card, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, and PayPal.
Orders are payable in euros, including taxes and mandatory contributions, as well as delivery fees. The Client is responsible for any bank charges (including in the case of a refund).

La Médaille Française undertakes to make its best efforts to meet the indicated delivery time. In any case, La Médaille Française commits to a maximum delivery time of ten weeks. For products in stock, the indicative shipping time is 72 business hours.
Unless otherwise stated, delivery costs are borne by the Client and vary depending on the geographical delivery area and the delivery method chosen by the Client.
The Client is offered a specific box. The package is delivered by the carrier selected by La Médaille Française to the address specified by the Client in the order and is handed over against signature. Each delivery is deemed completed once the Product is made available to the Client, as evidenced by the tracking system used by the carrier.
It is the Client’s responsibility to check the package upon arrival and to make any justified reservations or claims to the carrier, or even refuse the package if it appears to have been opened or shows signs of damage.
Article 6 – Retention of Ownership – Transfer of Risk
La Médaille Française retains ownership of the Products sold until full payment of the principal and any additional charges. These provisions do not prevent the transfer of risk to the Client regarding loss or damage to the Products, as well as any harm they may cause, from the moment of delivery.
Article 7 – Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Client has a right of withdrawal for a period of fourteen days from receipt of the Product, without having to provide any reason.
According to Article L. 221-28 of the Consumer Code, the Client cannot exercise the right of withdrawal for Products personalized with engraving. These products are made according to the Client’s specific wishes and may not be suitable for other consumers.
The Client exercises the right of withdrawal by informing La Médaille Française of their decision to withdraw by sending, before the fourteen-day deadline, the withdrawal form available in the annex to these Terms or any other unambiguous statement expressing the intention to withdraw. La Médaille Française reserves the right to refuse any Product return that has not been previously requested.
When the right of withdrawal applies, the Client must return the Product within fourteen days from the communication of the withdrawal decision. The Client bears the cost of returning the Product. If the Product is depreciated due to handling beyond what is necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and proper functioning, the Client may be held liable. La Médaille Française may inspect the Product to ensure it has not been altered before return.
La Médaille Française will refund all amounts paid, including delivery costs, within fourteen days from the date it is informed of the Client’s decision to withdraw. The refund will be made using the same payment method used by the Client for the initial transaction. The right of withdrawal does not apply to engraved personalized products.
Article 8 – Legal Guarantees
8.1. Legal Guarantee of Conformity
In accordance with Articles L. 217-4 and following of the French Consumer Code, La Médaille Française is responsible for any lack of conformity of the Product existing at the time of delivery. This means the Product must be suitable for the usual purpose of similar goods and must match the characteristics presented at the time of sale. La Médaille Française is also responsible for any lack of conformity resulting from packaging, assembly instructions, or installation when these were its responsibility.
Defects appearing within 24 months of delivery are presumed to have existed at the time of delivery, unless proven otherwise. The guarantee does not cover defects known to the Client or that the Client could not have ignored when contracting. The same applies if the defect originates from materials provided by the Client.
The legal action for lack of conformity must be initiated within two years from the delivery of the Product.
In case of non-conformity, the Client may choose between repair or replacement of the Product. However, La Médaille Française may refuse the Client’s choice if it entails a manifestly disproportionate cost compared to the other option, considering the value of the Product or the significance of the defect. If repair or replacement is impossible, the Client may return the Product and receive a refund or keep the Product and receive a partial refund, unless the defect is minor.
